The original house in the hills overlooking the San Fernando Valley had three main short-comings.  While the existing home was impressively large, panoramic views were left unexploited, social spaces were chopped into awkward rooms with wasted circulation, and the main entry to the home was hidden along the side yard.  Our design solution required relatively little addition, but created a new entry pavilion and a small extension to allow for a family room with great views.  Coupled with a re-working of the existing interior, the house was transformed from a collection of rambling rooms into a dramatic open plan, perfect for entertaining.
